We built the CRM we wanted to use.

Kestrel started on a sales floor that ran on five spreadsheets and a weekly argument about the forecast. It is the tool that would have ended both.

Our story

A kestrel hovers. It holds perfectly still over one spot, watches, and moves only when it is sure. We think selling works the same way: attention on one deal at a time, and a precise move when the moment comes.

02Principles

Four rules we design by.

  1. 01Exact over impressive

    A number on screen should be the number. We'd rather show fewer figures that add up than a wall of charts that don't.

  2. 02Calm is a feature

    No confetti, no red badges for the sake of it. A good CRM is quiet until something needs you.

  3. 03Small teams first

    We build for the team of five that will be fifty, not the enterprise that needs a consultant to change a field.

  4. 04Your data, your exit

    Full export, any time, in plain CSV. You should stay because Kestrel is good, not because leaving is hard.

03Flight log

Four years, one board.

  1. 2022

    Mara and Jonas leave a 40-person sales team that ran on five spreadsheets and start Kestrel in Rotterdam.

  2. 2023

    First 100 teams. The board, the inbox and nothing else.

  3. 2024

    Forecasting ships. Seed round led by a fund that also uses Kestrel to track its pipeline.

  4. 2025

    Sequences, quotes and the mobile app. 1,000 teams in 31 countries.

  5. 2026

    1,400 teams, 38 people, still one pipeline board at the center of it all.
